That's what W&D created for SOL FAIR...

First of all I want to spend some words about the name of the stuff I created for SOL FAIR.
You know that this fair was organized as an event of high fashion but above all as mental health awareness.
I decided to dedicate the name of my creations to a dear friend that took the desperate decision to commit suicide ... needless to say this thing haunts me because I still can not believe that I can never see him again, but above all I always wonder if I could have done something to prevent him do this.
Andy I miss you, I will never forget you, forever in my heart...

This is the female outfit:
A terribly hot black monokini.
A pair of high-waisted capri, obviously in black (ok..I love black...so, what's the problem? ^_^ ) with hip pockets and sash belt detailed in a lovely flowers fabric.
All available in all layers.
The outfit comes with stell bracelets and plastic bangles whose colors recall the flower fabric of the capris.

A grey sheer V-Neck T-Shirt matched with a pair of Cargo Bermuda in a squares fabric in a blue tone. Combined with pants, there is a black leather belt.

*W&D* FREEBIE FOR SOL FAIR

The idea of making some freebies located all around the fair is to help make the information about mental health issues a more prominent part of the shoppers experience.

Inside the SOL venue you can find the floating question marks offering information about mental health issues (like bulemia, anorexia, panic attacks, depression, etc...), inside them a lot of designers have added the freebies.

Please take 5 minutes of your time to read the notecards which describe all this mental issue, provided to you as an informative point of view in a disorder you or a loved one might be struggling with. In them you will find a short description of what the disorder is about, explanations about possible causes that trigger the disorder, suggestions on what to do if you or a loved one needs help and plenty of helpful websites with additional information and resources.

However, take care not to use these notecard as:
1) A way to diagnose yourself or others,
2) A way to avoid consulting professional in health care for serious disease, or
3) A way to become yourself a professional in ''saving'' all your friends from their problems.

Take them as what they are: informational notecards.

Keep in mind that any health professional (psychologist, psychiatrist, doctor, social worker, nurse, etc.) is best equipped to help you or your loved ones face your/their struggles.


*W&D* decided to create a minidress for one of the question mark points dedicated to the Binge Eating disorder, is made in a black fishnet fabric, defined with silks borders and a white bandage that cover the breasts with the words "I love myself", that's because we have to stop hurt ourselves and start to love ourselves.

Fashion for Mental Health Awareness

:: T H E F A S H I O N ::
This July, a selection of your favourite designers will be presenting us with brand new items at the Summer of Love Fair. These items will be available at the fair and nowhere else (at least ’til it’s over). Clothing, skins, hair, poses, accessories and more… we’ve got you covered.

The location remains undisclosed for now, but join our update group and we will keep you up to date with the latest information as it breaks.

THIS EVENT IS NOT TO RAISE MONEY FOR CHARITY. IT IS TO RAISE AWARENESS. ALL PROFITS GO TO THE DESIGNERS. However designers are encouraged to donate some of their profits to Hopeline. The fair will take place between JULY 18TH and AUGUST 8TH

:: T HE P U R P O S E ::
The purpose of this fair is twofold… firstly, FASHION. Who doesn’t love a good fashion event? Brand new items, some at discount rates, all in one glorious place. Lovely. Secondly though, there will be information about all sorts of mental health issues and illnesses throughout the venue. Mostly these will be visual aids around the precious couture so that people don’t have to read huge chunks of text. The main purpose of the fair is to de-stigmatise mental health issues. A lot of people in Second Life have unhappy “real lives”… for whatever reason. Some of us are unwell, disabled, depressed and other people are just lonely or don’t like who they think they are; but no one is alone and in SL we can be ourselves. So don’t let it beat you black and blue… couture can help!
